Formed in 1999, the FITG is a voluntary pan industry partnership which brings together the forestry sector, local authorities, government departments together with other stakeholders. The aim of the FITG is to ensure that the timber industry can access and market Ireland’s timber resource in a sustainable manner with minimal impacts on the public road network, local communities and the environment.
